Dentures are removable dental devices that replace large spans of missing teeth. Dentures are a good, cost-effective alternative for when a patient is not a good candidate for dental implants.
What should I expect when getting dentures?
Typically, the procedure for being fitted for dentures happens after the removal of a few problematic teeth. After this, the mouth is usually given a few weeks to heal. After the healing process, impressions of the mouth will be taken so that a custom denture will be made to fit comfortably. The whole process usually takes a few weeks but Dr. Chuck Kon and Dr. Christina Kon will walk you through your specific timeline.
Dentures are very durable and can last for years when properly cared for. They appear very natural and should also provide for normal behavior when eating and chewing.
